Dr Sneha Ravindranath, BDS, MDS (Orthodontics), FRACDS, MOrth RCSEd, MDTFEd, Dental Surgeon
Dr. Sneha obtained her Fellowship in General Dental Practice from the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in 2011 and was awarded Membership in Orthodontics by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, United Kingdom, in 2016.
Dr. Sneha has maintained a particular interest in orthodontic treatment for children and adults since 2009, with an emphasis on tooth alignment, bite function and long-term oral health. She also has experience in dental education, having taught at universities overseas, and remains committed to continuing professional development.
Her approach to dental care focuses on early diagnosis, preventive treatment and individualised care tailored to each patient’s needs.
Outside dentistry, Dr. Sneha enjoys reading, travelling, exploring different cultures and discovering new cuisines.
Dr. Sneha is registered with the Dental Council of New Zealand and is a member of the New Zealand Dental Association (NZDA).

Dr. Shirley Chand, BDS, ADC Cert (Australia), NZDA
Dr. Shirley is an experienced Papakura dentist who provides comprehensive dental care for individuals and families. She graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2006 and has been practising dentistry in New Zealand since 2014.
Dr. Shirley enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and has a particular interest in cosmetic and restorative dental treatments. She is committed to providing personalised dental care, with a focus on patient comfort, oral health and long-term dental wellbeing.
Dr. Shirley is registered as a general dentist with the Dental Council of New Zealand and is a member of the New Zealand Dental Association (NZDA).
Dr. Ibi Al-Asadi, BDS (Hons), MRACDS (PDS), King’s College London, United Kingdom
Dr Ibi is an experienced Papakura dentist who enjoys providing comprehensive dental care for individuals and families. She graduated with honours from King’s College London and has been practising at Nova Dental Care since 2013.
Dr Ibi enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and is particularly committed to providing gentle, personalised dental care. She takes time to understand her patients’ concerns, explain treatment options and help them feel comfortable and informed throughout their dental appointments.
Dr Ibi is registered as a general dentist with the Dental Council of New Zealand and is a member of the New Zealand Dental Association (NZDA). She also holds Membership of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (MRACDS).
Outside dentistry, Dr Ibi enjoys travelling and spending time with friends.

Dr. Zaid Kanani, BDS, NZDREx, DipOrtho POS (SYD), GradDipOrtho (JCU), Dental Surgeon
Dr. Zaid is an experienced dentist who has been providing comprehensive family dental care since graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1998. He is committed to providing personalised dental care tailored to the individual needs of patients and families in the Papakura community.
Dr. Zaid holds a Diploma in Orthodontics from the McGann Postgraduate School of Dentistry and a Graduate Diploma in Orthodontics from James Cook University. He has been providing orthodontic treatment as part of his general dental practice since 2006.
Dr Zaid is registered as a general dentist with the Dental Council of New Zealand (NZDC) and is also holds Australian dental registration through AHPRA.
He is a member of the New Zealand Dental Association (NZDA) and an Associate Member of the New Zealand Association of Orthodontists (NZAO).
He remains committed to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
Oral Heath Therapist
Tarunpreet Kaur, Oral Health Therapist
Tarunpreet graduated from the University of Otago in 2019 with a Bachelor of Oral Health. She began her career in the public health sector with Auckland Regional Dental Services, gaining valuable experience in preventive and restorative oral health care.
More recently, Tarunpreet completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Health Sciences, endorsed in Adult Restorative Dental Care, at the University of Otago. This additional qualification has further developed her clinical skills and allows her to provide restorative dental treatments, including fillings, for adult patients within her registered scope of practice.
Tarunpreet enjoys helping patients of all ages maintain healthy teeth and gums. She takes a friendly, gentle and caring approach, with a particular focus on making patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their appointments.
She is registered with the Dental Council of New Zealand and is a member of the New Zealand Oral Health Association (NZOHA).
Outside work, Tarunpreet enjoys travelling, reading and spending time with friends and family.

Shivarne – Practice Manager
Shivarne has been part of Nova Dental Care for over seven years and is truly the heart of our practice. She looks after our patients, dentists and staff, helping everyone feel supported and welcome.
From managing appointments, patient enquiries and accounts to coordinating supplies and overseeing the daily running of the practice, Shivarne is the person everyone turns to when they need a helping hand or a problem solved.
Her experience, caring nature and dedication make her an invaluable member of our team.
Sundus – Front Office Co-ordinator
Sundus has been a valued member of Nova Dental Care for many years. With her cheerful personality and friendly approach, she helps create a welcoming environment for our patients and team.
She looks after patient appointments, reminders and communications with the Ministry of Health, while also supporting our dentists and colleagues whenever needed.
Reliable, approachable and always willing to lend a hand, Sundus is an important part of our team.

Nee has been part of the Nova Dental Care team for almost a decade and is one of our most experienced and trusted team members.
She plays a key role in training new dental assistants, organising clinical supplies and keeping our treatment rooms running smoothly. With her extensive knowledge of the practice, initiative and dedication, Nee is someone the whole team can rely on.
